During its membership within the JTEKT Group until 2022, HPI inherited its Japan way of thinking with the implementation of several working and production systems. The HPI philosophy is now a mix of Japan and French know-how. Thus, you will better understand our thoroughness and quality expectations to deliver you excellent quality products.

A bit of vocabulary !

Kaizen: The kaizen philosophy is the practice of continuous improvement based on certain guiding principles as:

• Good processes bring good results
• Go see for yourself to grasp the current situation
• Speak with data, manage by facts
• Take action to contain and correct root causes of problems
• Work as a team
• Kaizen is everybody’s business

Kaizen is a system that involves every employee. Everyone is encouraged to come up with small improvement suggestions on a regular basis.

Monozukuri: The « Monozukuri » spirit  is the art of refined craftmanship an superior quality

Genchi Genbutsu:  The “Genchi Genbutsu” principle means “go and see”. It suggests that in order to truly understand a situation and take the appropriate decisions to solve the problem, one needs to go to the ‘real place’ – where the problem is.

« 5 S »: These steps describe how to organize a work space for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and storing the items used, maintaining the area and items, and sustaining the new order.
